Where they live
Adults can be found around coral reefs.
Juveniles are found in seagrass beds and mangrove estuaries.
Size and age
Grass emperor's can grow to 60cm, weigh over 5kg and live for up to 12 years.

Baited hook or jigs.
Grass emperors are highly prone to barotrauma when caught from depths greater than 10m and should not be targeted for catch and release.
