Relationship: | Overlain by the Palaeo- Mesoproterozoic Davenport and Tomkinson provinces to the south and north respectively. Unconformably overlain to the east and west by the Neoproterozoic to Palaeozoic Georgina and Wiso basins. | |

Economic: | Over 5 million ounces of gold production to date from numerous iron-oxide Cu-Au deposits. Significant production of Cu, Bi and W. One lead-zinc resource identified undercover. | |
Metamorphism: | Unmetamorphosed to lower greenschist facies. | |
