Relationship: | Overlies Neoarchaean basement. Unconformably overlain by Palaeo-Mesoproterozoic McArthur and Birrindudu basins, Palaeozoic Daly and Arafura basins and Phanerozoic Money Shoal Basin. | |
Thickness: | Up to 14 km. | |
Economic: | Hosts a variety of mineral commodities including gold, uranium, base metals, PGE, iron ore, manganese, magnesite and phosphate. | |
Metamorphism: | Lower greenschist to granulite. | |
