Summary:

An intracratonic basin initiated as part of the Centralian Superbasin.

Relationship:

Unconformably overlies, and is faulted against, the Palaeo-Neoproterozoic Aileron Province.

Thickness:

Up to 6 km.

Economic:

Minor gas shows. Contains significant sandstone-hosted uranium mineralisation.

Metamorphism:

Unmetamorphosed.
