Relationship: | Unconformably overlies the Carboniferous-Triassic Pedirka Basin and non-outcropping Cambrian -?Devonian Warburton Basin. Both basins are unconformable on metamorphic rocks of the Palaeo-Neoproterozoic Aileron Province and Mesoproterozoic Musgrave Province. | |
Thickness: | Up to 4 km. | |
Economic: | Moderate oil shows are found within the Northern Territory portion of the Basin. Historical mining of ochre. Minor coal, manganese and opal occurrences. | |
Metamorphism: | Unmetamorphosed. | |
