Public holiday pay update for NTG employee shift workers
On 27 January 2021, the Fair Work Commission (FWC) determined shift worker employees covered by Schedule 2 of the NTPS 2017-2021 Enterprise Agreement, who were rostered to perform work on a public holiday, but were on a period of recreation leave should :
- receive full pay and shift penalties for their rostered hours
- have no recreation leave deducted.
The Decision by the FWC has flow on effects to employees covered by some other Enterprise Agreements. The NT Government is attempting to pay monies owed.
The NT Government has emailed affected employees, including former employees, at their last known email address.
