Mr David Ciaravolo is Chief Executive Officer at the Amateur Fishermen's Association of the Northern Territory (AFANT).

David has six years experience at the executive level in peak industry bodies, having previously worked as Executive Director at RecFish SA. David's skills include organisational management, community engagement, policy development and resource management.

AFANT is the peak body for recreational fishing in the Northern Territory, representing a sector with over 30,000 constituents in the NT. The organisation is engaged by the NT government to participate in the management and development of recreational fishing.

AFANT is also responsible for coordinating a citizen science fish tagging research program, educational projects, participation based activities, as well as community consultation and representation. Approximately 70% of all recreational fishing effort occurs in Darwin and surrounds, strongly linking the future prosperity of this diverse and valuable sector to the health and productivity of the harbour.
