Ben Smith is the Larrakia Ranger Manger and has been working for Larrakia Nation for 8 years.  He has extensive experience in running a busy ranger program with 14 rangers and operating multiple projects and programs on Darwin Harbour, Shoal Bay and surrounding Larrakia Country.  Larrakia Land and Sea Rangers has worked closely with various researches, government departments, neighbouring ranger groups and stakeholders from around the harbour.

Ben has worked in various land management roles across the Northern Territory including fire and forestry projects on Tiwi Island, mining exploration and rehab in Kakadu, land management for Defence estates across Northern Australia, indigenous arts and cultural revitalisation programs and tourism in Central Australia.

Ben also enjoys time spending time on the harbour either working or recreationally fishing.
