![]() | Alan Roe sits on the committee as a representative of Territory Natural Resource Management. Alan has worked in the fields of environmental conservation and sustainable development for 25 years both in Northern Australia and internationally. Subsequent to completing his PhD degree, Alan has led projects and initiatives for a range of organisations including the IUCN, The World Bank, The UN World Food Program and diverse research institutes and universities. Outside of his day job, Alan is a committed conservationist and active with his wife in his local land management group around Robin Falls. Territory NRM has carriage of the Northern Territory Natural Resource Management Plan and works collaboratively to support the activities of a wide range of NRM partners and stakeholders. This includes diverse government, indigenous and community groups, industry bodies and research institutions. Territory NRM sees no inherent contradiction between a measured approach to sustainable development and protection of the natural environment, and sees both these things as integral to community wellbeing, both across the Darwin Harbour Catchment and beyond. |
