Partners in Recovery in the Northern Territory The NTML is the lead agency for NT Partners in Recovery and has engaged experienced non-government organisations (PIR Providers) in regions across the Northern Territory. PIR Providers are responsible for working with individual participants to assist their recovery. PIR Providers also drive coordination and collaboration across all supports and services in their region to improve regional systems. The NTML's role is to manage and support PIR Providers to deliver the program, conduct high level strategic engagement and manage the program's relationship with the Department of Health.
Personal Helpers and Mentors (PHaMs) PHaMs workers provide practical assistance to people with severe mental illness to help them achieve their personal goals, develop better relationships with family and friends, and manage their everyday tasks. One-to-one and ongoing support ensures the individual needs of the PHaMs participants can be addressed. They are assisted to access services and participate economically and socially in the community, increasing their opportunities for recovery.
