Repairing or maintaining your equipment

If you are supplied with Disability Equipment Program equipment, you are responsible for the following.

Maintaining your equipment

You should do all of the following:

  • store your equipment inside, away from direct sunlight
  • read through the instruction booklet for basic care requirements
  • check, clean and care for your equipment as part of your daily routine
  • only use your equipment as instructed.

How to clean your equipment

Set aside time regularly to clean your equipment. 

You should do all of the following:

  • every week wipe over the surfaces of your equipment
  • every month remove dirt from wheels, clean and dry surfaces of your equipment and check for any loose parts.

If your equipment requires repairs, call the repairs and maintenance number below:
