An exceptional development permit may be granted by the Minister for Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics to allow a use otherwise prohibited under the Northern Territory Planning Scheme, or another planning scheme.

How to apply
Follow these steps to apply for an exceptional development permit or a variation to a permit:

Once submitted, the application process is the same as for the planning scheme amendment process.

Once the minister has made a decision, you will be informed about the outcome of the application.
