Remote Aboriginal Development Fund now open

Applications are now open for grant funding under the Remote Aboriginal Development Fund.

A total of $2 million has been allocated to encourage economic participation by Aboriginal people and further develop capacity building in remote Northern Territory communities.

The fund consists of two grant programs being delivered by the Department of Trade, Business and Innovation and the Department of the Chief Minister.

  • $1 million to support economic development and employment initiatives through the Economic Development grant; and
  • $1 million to support governance and community capacity building initiatives through the Government and Capacity Building grant.

The grants will be available to Aboriginal enterprises, partnerships or not-for-profit organisations that offer programs into regional and remote Northern Territory communities.

Applications close on 31 October. To find out more, including how to apply, go to NT.GOV.AU
