Workforce skills honoured at NT Training Awards

Twelve employers, trainers and individuals have been recognised for their hard work, dedication and excellence in the Northern Territory’s vocational education and training (VET) sector.

Training NT Executive Director, Wendi Masters congratulated the winners of the NT Training Awards who were announced at a gala event hosted by the Northern Territory (NT) Government on Saturday 10 September.

“The VET sector plays an integral role in the ongoing economic and social growth of the Territory by skilling and training the current and future workforce,” she said.

“VET provides Territorians with job ready skills and national qualifications for a diverse range of careers.

“The winners, runners-up and all finalists represent the future of the industry here in the Territory.

“There were 37 finalists competing in a total of 12 categories for individuals and organisations

“This year the ‘Medium Employer of the Year’ award recognises a business or organisation with between 20 and 200 employees that has achieved excellence in the provision of training to its employees.
