First-class cricket returning to Alice Springs

The Victoria Bushrangers are returning to Alice Springs in 2017 for a Sheffield Shield clash against Western Australia from 8-11 March at TIO Traeger Park.

It will be the Bushrangers’ fourth appearance at Alice Springs after a thrilling final-over draw against New South Wales earlier this year and matches against Queensland and Tasmania in 2015.

In 2016 Alice Springs has played host to the Imparja Cup, National Indigenous Cricket Championships and the Sheffield Shield.

The Bushrangers could also play the Sheffield Shield final in Alice Springs should they finish top of the ladder in the 2016/17 season.

Entry to the Victoria versus Western Australia clash will be free.
