The Chief Minister’s Awards for Excellence in the Public Sector are open for nominations

Nominations are now open for the 8th Chief Minister’s Awards for Excellence in the Public Sector.

The Awards recognise and reward excellence in the NT public sector. Nominations are accepted from all Northern Territory Government agencies and Northern Territory statutory authorities.

Each Award Category winner will be awarded with funds to spend on professional development.
There are two new categories for 2015:

  • Innovation in the Public Sector
  • Improving Indigenous Employment Outcomes

As well as the eight Award categories for teams/projects, nominations are being taken for the Chief Minister’s Public Sector Medal. The medal is an individual award that recognises outstanding and commendable public service.

While a Medal may be awarded to an employee who has spent many years in the public service, the number of years is not significant in the judging.

For the first time, a special medal will be awarded in 2015 to an individual who has demonstrated outstanding Indigenous leadership.
Nominations for the Awards are open until Sunday 30 August, for more information and to download a nomination form visit www.nt.gov.au/chiefministerawards
