Oh what a night!

The Darwin Symphony Orchestra East Arnhem concert was a great success, with over 700 people attending the event held on Saturday 30 May at Gulkula (the Garma Site).

The concert opened with bunngul traditional dance followed by a performance from Manuel, Marcus and Tyrese Dhurrkay.

The Darwin Symphony Orchestra performed works from Bizet’s The Pearl Fishers. The performance featured some of Australia’s finest and most celebrated operatic voices including renowned tenor David Hobson and outstanding baritone Andrew Jones.

The Northern Territory Government would like to acknowledge the support from the Gumatj Corporation, Rio Tinto, Sea Swift, Toll and Airnorth in bringing the Darwin Symphony Orchestra to Gove.
