Call to arms for Territorians to join the Blue and Gold army

The Dyldam Parramatta Eels are back in their second home in the Northern Territory ready to take on the Penrith Panthers.

The club has spent the last few days meeting as many Top End rugby league fans as possible and now the time has come for Territorians to show their support for the club at Saturday night’s clash at TIO Stadium.

The Eels arrived in Darwin on Tuesday and have been busy visiting almost 30 schools in the region to promote participation in sport as part of a healthy lifestyle, as well as spending time with junior rugby league clubs, the Sanderson Neighbourhood Activity Centre, Darwin Waterfront Precinct and Smith St Mall to rub shoulders with Top End rugby league fans.

The match on Saturday night will feature the Territory’s own Luke Kelly from Katherine, who is likely to line up at Halfback. It will be a proud day for Katherine with the Katherine High School team taking on Casuarina Senior College in the final of the under 16 Eels Cup prior to the big match, and the town’s NTRL club taking on Brothers in the first game of the day.

Tickets are still available for the match at TIO Stadium through Darwin Entertainment Centre

Gates open at 3.15pm, curtain raiser matches start from 3.30pm and the main game will kick off at 7pm. Free buses will be operating to and from the game on regular bus routes to Marrara on presentation of NRL game ticket.
