The 2015-16 Budget has been delivered in the Territory Parliament, with funding for improved education, health, sporting and cultural facilities across the Territory.
The Government is spending $1.42 billion on health services with further improvements to Darwin and Alice Springs Hospitals and starting work on the new Palmerston Regional Hospital.
Education will benefit from $893 million with a further $152 million for school upgrades.
A record amount of funding has been allocated to roads to better connect Territorians no matter where they live, with investments in every major arterial route across the NT.
Key recreation areas such as Casuarina Coastal Reserve and Litchfield National Park will have upgrades to facilities that will benefit Territorians and the tourism industry.
$18.3 million will be spent creating a visual art gallery in Darwin, and more than $57 million in improvements to sporting facilities.
