Land access agreements for exploration

Introduction

This guide deals with the process of negotiating land access agreements for exploration activities.

The guide covers all of the following:

  • mineral title - grant of tenure
  • mineral title - non intrusive activity
  • mineral title - substantial disturbance activity
  • petroleum title exploration.

These processes provide the pastoralist or landowner/manager with early knowledge of what may be planned by you in your exploration activities.

The processes also provide the opportunity for you both to discuss appropriate shared land use arrangements, enabling respective activities to take place without undue inconvenience or disruption.
