Register or renew as an agent's representative

Find out how to register as an agent's representative or renew your registration.

Who can apply

You need a Certificate IV in Property Services (Real Estate) to work as a registered agent representative.

You can apply for interim registration if you are working towards the certificate and have completed the following units:

  • interpreting legislation to complete agency work (CPPDSM4009A)
  • working in real estate (CPPDSM4080A).

Before you apply

You must advertise your intention to become a registered agent's representative.

You must also get a police history check.

You will need to pay a fee to register as an agent's representative - check the fee.

How to register

You can register as an agent's representative:

  • online
  • by mail, email, fax, or in person.

By mail, email, fax, or in person

To apply by mail, email, fax, or in person, follow these steps.

Step 1. Fill in one of these forms:

  • if you are registered as an agent representative in another Australian state or territory, use the agent's representative under mutual recognition form

  • for all other registrations use the agent's representative registration form

Step 2. Submit your form and pay the fee at your nearest Territory Business Centre.

Renew 

You must renew your registration on or before 1 May each year. You can renew:

  • online
  • by mail, email, fax, or in person.

To renew your registration by mail, email, fax, or in person, follow these steps.

Step 1. Fill in the registration renewal form.

Step 2. Check the fee.
Step 3. Submit the application and fee to your nearest Territory Business Centre by May 1.
