Apply to permanently change liquor licence conditions
This page has information for liquor licence holders about making permanent changes to licence conditions.
When to apply for a permanent variation
You must apply for a permanent variation if you want to:
- change your trading hours
- remove the 'liquor with a meal' licence condition
- change your licence category - for example, from restaurant to tavern
- make a variation to a licensed area - for example, by creating a beer garden or al fresco dining area outside the venue.
For non-permanent changes to your liquor licence conditions, such as for a special event, apply for a temporary variation.
For non-cosmetic changes to the inside or outside of your venue apply for a material alteration.
