Restricted licensed premises are private premises where alcohol is limited or not permitted.

This means it is an offence to consume or have liquor at those premises.

Restrict your premises

You can apply to restrict the entire premises, or a specified part of the premises.

These includes any of the following:

  • unit level
  • courtyard
  • veranda
  • porch.

How to apply

To apply for a restricted licensed premises follow these steps:

Step 1. Complete the application online on the Licensing NT website of fill in the form. You can also get a form at a Licensing NT office or NT Police station.

Step 2. Sign the form. Include a description of the premises and explain why you want it restricted.

Step 3. Submit your form online or email to your nearest location:
