Driver licences for remote residents

Pass a theory test

When you have learnt all of the information in the NT Road Users Handbook, you can sit your driver theory test at your local police station.

This is also called a driver knowledge test.

To check if you are ready for your test, try the driver knowledge questions for learner drivers (2.5 mb).

About the test

The test has 30 multiple choice questions.

You must get at least 26 out of 30 questions right to pass.

If you are enrolled in DriveSafe NT Remote you don't need to pay a fee to sit the test.

All other drivers will have to pay a theory test fee and fill in the driver licence application form.
