Short Walks in NT Parks and Reserves
Territory parks and reserves are designed with walkers in mind, so there are lots of short walks to enjoy. Typically major attractions within parks have a short walk nearby so you can get off the beaten track and enjoy the beauty and the quiet of the bush. Short walks are usually between 500 m and 3km. There are usually signs near car parks that provide maps, distances, grade and safety information. Please take note of these because they could save your life.
Information about walks is also available on Park Fact Sheets. If you arrive in a park well prepared with hat, drinking water, energy snacks, sunscreen, and sturdy footwear and an hour or so to spare, you'll be able to enjoy these walks and 'get away from it all' for awhile.
