Waterslides Information
Three waterslides, each 14 metres in height, have been created as part of the $5.2M Stage 2 redevelopment at Leanyer Recreation Park.
Each of the slides are of different length:
- The “red” slide is 125 metres in length
- The “blue” slide is 105 metres in length
- The “yellow” slide is 103 metres in length
The “red” slide requires the use of a raft, supplied by the operators of Leanyer Recreation Park, for persons on the slide. This raft ride must be utilised as a tandem ride (two riders on one raft at one time). This slide uses 90 litres of water per second to power riders down the slide.
The “blue” and “yellow” slides do not require the use of a raft and tandem rides (two persons at a time) are not permitted. These slides use 60 litres of water per second to power riders down the slide.
Persons riding the slide must be at least 1.1 metres (110cm) in height for safety reasons. All three slides are moulded from glass reinforced plastic, mounted on a steel structure.
Use of all three water slides is free!
